Standing Orders are the rules by which the Town Council operates.

They govern councillors’ behaviour and how meetings are run.

In detail, they cover the debating process,  voting process, committees and sub-committees, what notice is needed for agenda items, accounting and financial rules, relations with the media, restrictions on councillors’ activities, and much more.
