The Burnham on Crouch Museum is a fascinating treasure trove on West Quay, accessible by car from Coronation Road.
It has two floors and a mezzanine, with exhibits of maritime, agricultural, industrial and social history.
The archive contains photographs, drawings, documents and sound recordings. There some fascinating books by local authors for sale, all about local history. Proceeds go to the museum.
There is also a regular programme of special exhibitions, art exhibitions and talks.
